I couldn't tell from the TFF site which seems to be partially down, wheh and how they actaully do do security updates. You have both installed and operating just fine, right without any fancy separation of profiles and the like?
(since Ff v 4, 5, and 6 are now out there.) I hope I can get TFF working before Ff stops doing security updates. I assume by older Ff they don't mean 3.6.x. That will likely occur by the end of 2011. This may not be the case in the future, however, when Mozilla ceases to support Firefox 3.6. There is currently no problem switching back and forth from Firefox 3.6 and TenFourFox as long as you quit one before starting the other. You may wish to use specific profiles for these older Firefox versions if you must run them (but it is strongly advised you do not, as these versions of Firefox likely have security issues). Also, do again remember that older versions of Firefox may cease to work after upgrading to TenFourFox due to incompatible profiles. Firefox 3.6 cannot be run simultaneously with TenFourFox, because as we mentioned above, to the Mac TenFourFox is Firefox. I should have been more thorough in my research and found this earlier: I found this which certainly confirms what you say. Both versions seem to use the same preference files. You can't have both open at the same time. Thanks to BDA for testing it for me - I just need more info before I proceed.
